Course Objectives

This is a Practical ERM workshop using COSO 2017 and ISO 31000 frameworks as a basis and King IV perspective (3Days)

The evolution of risk management represents a change in the status quo of how risk management is viewed and integrated into the business operations. Risk professionals and their organisations should view such changes as an opportunity to strengthen the organisation so that it can more effectively achieve strategic objectives.

There are various ERM frameworks that a company could potentially follow, all of which should define the essential components, suggest a common language and provide clear guidance for enterprise risk management. In addition, each framework that is implemented should also describe an approach for identifying, analysing, responding to, and monitoring risks and opportunities facing the enterprise.

This course will focus on the more widely known frameworks which are:

o COSO ERM Framework

o ISO 31000 Risk Management Standard

King IV Principles
