The 2017 Standards remain in effect during the 12-month transition period. Internal audit functions are required to adopt the new Global Internal Audit Standards by January 9, 2025. We will discuss the impact of the new standards on the internal audit activity’s methodology and Quality assurance and improvement program. The training will focus on the new principles and how the standards support the principles to support not only conformance but also measurement of the internal audit function performance. A combination of daily assessments, quizzes and tests will test knowledge understanding and be used to issue a certificate at the end of the course to participants to verify knowledge transfer.
